Welcome to the Cat Care Coalition

Our Mission

The Cat Care Coalition is a consortium of rescue groups and Humane Societies – specifically Guilderhaven, Noah’s Kingdom Humane Society, and Robin’s Nest Rescued Cats - working together to alleviate cat overpopulation in the Capital District. The mission is to increase low cost spay/neuter capacity and to increase public education/awareness of problems with cat overpopulation.
Whats New!

LOTS has changed here at www.catcarecoalition.com, so please read this page carefully. Surgeries are now offered Monday through Friday only, no more weekends. We are also working with TWO veterinary hospitals now, Central Veterinary Hospital and Rotterdam Veterinary Hospital. Addresses and directions for both of these sites can be found in the Directions section a little further down this page. Finally, the new application for DOGS is also online now, look for it down in the Clinics section.

Clinics

Surgeries are done Monday through Friday at either Central Veterinary Hospital on Central Avenue in Albany, or Rotterdam Veterinary Hospital on Guilderland Avenue in Schenectady. In order to be eligible, you need to fill out and submit an application. Once we review it, if you are approved, we will call you to set up the appointment time.

The application for CATS can be found here.

The application for DOGS can be found here.

Volunteers

We are currently looking for volunteers to help us with publicity and paperwork. Please email us at catcarecoalition@earthlink if you can help!
